With only O’level qualifications (WAEC, NECO), you can become a Chartered Accountant within three years or less by enrolling in the ATS Programme. This program is designed for students with WAEC, NECO, OND, or NCE and serves as the foundation for becoming ICAN-certified.

Toggle ContIf you have a degree in a non-accounting field, you can qualify as a Chartered Accountant in as little as six months by passing ICAN’s three professional exam levels. Since ICAN exams are held twice a year (May and November), you have the opportunity to complete two levels within one year and the final level the following year.ent

The duration depends on your qualifications:

• Accounting Graduates from MCATI-affiliated schools – Only one stage (Professional Level), which takes six months.

• Accounting Graduates from ICAN-accredited schools – Two stages (Skills & Professional Levels), taking one year.

• Graduates of non-accounting courses – Three stages, completing in about 1.5 years.

• O’level, OND, and NCE holders – Between 1.5 to 3 years to complete the ICAN examinations.
